It cannot be my hard drives as the old firmware you gave me works fine , its just new ones that dont.
Any way my hard drives are as follows :
Seagate st3160212ace - 160Gb tried with FAT16 / FAT32 and partitioned using the full 160Gb and divided into 20Gb partions doesnt work with any new firmware only the old one.
seagate st380215a 80GB tried with FAT16 /32 and partitioned using the full 80Gb and divided into 20Gb partions doesnt work with any new firmware only the old one.
Maxtor Diamond max ATA/133 40GB tried with FAT16 /32 and partitioned using the full 40Gb and divided into 20Gb partions doesnt work with any new firmware only the old one.
It has to be a write issue as i can read files and directories written to the hard drives using my pc , things just go wrong when the EVO writes to the drive.
I cannot believe that i am the only one who has noticed this bug ?

Ну х.з., я исходники все перепахал под ИАР, толком проверить не могу. Удалось только проверить создание папок и удаление папок/файлов. Всё создаётся и удаляется отлично. фаталом не проверял, под рукой не оказалось.WDC не юзаю т.к. говорят чёйто косячит.
Драйвера Савелия юзал.
Получается мульти секторная запись глючит?!

У меня фаталл с хардом корректно работает по следующей схеме:
Копирую с СД образ фдд на виртуальный диск.
С виртуального копирую на ХДД .
Потом всё в обратном порядке.
винхексом сверяю - всё бит в бит одинаково.
так же моя прога создаёт-удаляет-ренеймит папочки.
Но!
Сделал тестовую прогу, сохраняет скрин на хард со второго сектора. Сохраняет реально или нет незнаю, но читает от тудова фигу.
То ли я чего перемудрил, толи Савелий чего не того мне прислал...
Но в эмуле она работает.
Ща буду мониторить фаталл и сверять с дровами.

Если срется в одном бите то причом дрова то? Дрова то пишут в порты побайтно, а не побитно.

Я же говорю что фаталл работает на ура с ХДД, к тебе ни каких претензий.
Что там Баддер дал ТС-Лабсу я не знаю.

Firstly its SHE !
Secondly how can it be bad soldering when if i go back to a previous firmware version given by CHRV earlier on page 3 of this post my ide hard drives all work fine , reading and writing !
Its only if i upgrade the firware to anything higher than 07.12.2010 that the IDE stops working !

The developers are busy, they are more interested in reading the correct vintage floppies, the correct recording on HDD - it's not interesting.

Developers do not observe the same IDE errors as Justine -- instead, they observe exactly opposite: latest firmware works while older have errors.
